Love is Him too…
Love is Her…
We do not follow our desires and we do not follow this Dunya (world), because that goes against the meaning of Islam!
Let’s go back to the basics: What does Islam mean?
Submission to Allah.
Even if it is against your own desires, against your will, you give up what you want for the sake of Allah (swt).
But we want to follow the religion according to our understanding, according to our convenience and according to how much free time we have. No.
We don’t bend and re-shape and make Islam something to serve us. WE change OURSELVES to fit into Islam. We change our characters, to fit into Islam rather than changing Islam to fit our own characters.
And that’s practicing what you preach. That is the true meaning of the word of Islam. Complete Submission.
Reminder: “We don’t belong here, it’s a long, winding, straight path back to where we need to be. It’s a beautiful struggle getting back there. We are tried and the creator wants to see who among us will give up the struggle and fall behind. Keep your eyes on the prize and keep stepping. Allah is the beginning of our efforts and the final goal of our souls. There will be a day where you will stand alone in front of your creator and he will ask you about everything that you used to do. Oh who you believe, hold yourselves accountable before the creator of everything in the heavens and on the earth holds you accountable. This reminder is good for the believer because it’s not that we lose sight of that day, but we get caught up in this Dunya which is a very low and filthy place, brothers and sisters remember that we don’t belong here and there is nothing here to hold on to, it’s all just a test so make sure to emulate the best, peace and blessings be upon him. We all are longing to get back home.”Taken by Jeroen Moes
Know that the greatest of losses is for you to be preoccupied with one who will bring you nothing but a loss in your time with Allah – the Mighty and Majestic – and being cut off from Him, a wasting your time with the person, a weakening of your energy, and the dispersing of your resolve. So, if you are tested with this – and you must be tested with this – deal with him according to how Allah would wish, and be patient with him as much as possible. Get closer to Allah and His Pleasure by way of this person, and make your getting together with him something to benefit from, not something to incur a loss from. Be with him as if you are a man who is on a road who was stopped by another man, who then asks you to take him on your journey. Make sure that you are the one who gives him a ride, and that he is not the one giving you the ride. If he refuses, and there is nothing to gain from traveling with him, do not stop for him, bid him farewell, and do not even turn back to look at him, as he is a highway robber, regardless of who he really is.
So, save your heart, be wary of how you spend your days and nights, and do not let the Sun set before you arrive at your destination.”
– Ibn Qayyim al Jawziyyah (‘al-Wabil as-Sayyib’: p. 45)
Salam lovelies
Salam Ma’al Hijrah fellow muslims!
Life as mentioned in the Quran will not be as easy and it has been reminded many times in the holy Quran;
And certainly, We shall test you with something of fear, hunger, loss of wealth, lives and fruits, but give glad tidings to As-Sabirin (the patient ones, etc.).
Quoted from the Holy Quran (البقرة ١٥٥ - Al-Baqara 155)
Or think you that you will enter Paradise without such (trials) as came to those who passed away before you? They were afflicted with severe poverty and ailments and were so shaken that even the Messenger and those who believed along with him said, “When (will come) the Help of Allah?” Yes! Certainly, the Help of Allah is near!
Quoted from the Holy Quran (البقرة ٢١٤ - Al-Baqara 214)
Everyone is going to taste death, and We shall make a trial of you with evil and with good, and to Us you will be returned.
Quoted from the Holy Quran (الأنبياء ٣٥ - Al-Anbiyaa 35)
Facing test from Allah SWT is never an easy task but if we put our live in His hands and understand that we are in this world only for Him. Insyallah, we will find strength and courage from the One above.
I was not born perfect either. Created too many sins and still do. But I really pray that Allah will forgive me and guide me to a better place, closer to home and home is where He is.
If only I know what I know now, I will definitely chose my path wisely. Chose the choices I have made carefully. But, I have done mistakes and all I want is to be back on the right track now.
Today is 1Muharram 1433. Let’s pray that we will be blessed from today onwards and work harder to achieve His love which has been waiting for us before we are even born.
1432, the islamic year, has not been that great for me. Still, I thanked the One above for all the hardships, tears and heartbreaks. Because through all that I have found what I really wanted. What I have been searching for. Its HIM.
I realised that human’s love could change for us anytime. We could be the world for them today but they might change their mind tomorrow when they found a new world. I have to admit I have been pleasing too many people for the wrong reasons. I have sacrificed too many times in order to gain eternal love. I have for go my wants, my feelings and any other things in order to make those I love happy. Of course, like anyone, when I have done that, I would expect them to do the same. An eye for an eye.
Sadly, the world is not as easy as that. I fell real hard and it hurts deeply.
But that was when I realised my life & death is for no one but Allah.
”Verily, my prayer, my sacrifice, my living, and my dying are for Allah, the Lord of the Worlds.” — (Surah 6:162)
I cried hard. I prayed hard. I was utterly disappointed beyond words. How could? How could that happen to me?
But, my fate was already written that way. Like it or not, I have to resign to that.
If only all those while my sacrifices and my pleasing is for Allah. I would not have been hurt. I would not have been disappointed. For Him, will only gives the best to His believers.
I do asked myself many times. Why me? And there, the search for answer begins.
And surely, We shall try you till We test those who strive hard (for the Cause of Allah) and the patient ones, and We shall test your facts (i.e. the one who is a liar, and the one who is truthful).
Quoted from the Holy Quran (محمد ٣١ - Muhammad 31)
Verily! We have made that which is on earth as an adornment for it, in order that We may test them (mankind) as to which of them are best in deeds. [i.e. those who do good deeds in the most perfect manner, that means to do them (deeds) totally for Allah’s sake and in accordance to the legal ways of the Prophet SAW].
Quoted from the Holy Quran (الكهف ٧ - Al-Kahf 7)
And I realised, sure Allah has greater plans for me. No matter how painful and tearful life will be, I shall face them bravely in the name of Allah.
But 1432 was also a blessing. I have donned my hijab since 26 rejab (June 28, 2011). A day before Israk Mikraj and still do. Alhamdulilah for his great blessings. And was also blessed to be given an opportunity to work in a mosque on 28 Syawal (Sept 26, 2011).
But I was also blessed in this life to be gifted a very supportive family. Mummy, Daddy, brothers and especially my beloved sister, Mira. They are my strength from Allah. Not forgetting my gifts from Allah, Ayra & Rizqy. Subhanallah. Indeed, I am truly blessed.
I really hope you who read this post be bless too. =)
There is a reason behind everything. Do not be sad. I hope I will be much stronger and hope you all will too.
Allah burdens not a person beyond his scope. He gets reward for that (good) which he has earned, and he is punished for that (evil) which he has earned. “Our Lord! Punish us not if we forget or fall into error, our Lord! Lay not on us a burden like that which You did lay on those before us (Jews and Christians); our Lord! Put not on us a burden greater than we have strength to bear. Pardon us and grant us Forgiveness. Have mercy on us. You are our Maula (Patron, Suppor-ter and Protector, etc.) and give us victory over the disbelieving people.
Quoted from the Holy Quran (البقرة ٢٨٦ - Al-Baqara 286)
Till we meet again in another post. Insyallah.
Happy Islamic New Year.

Zulianita
